Nestled into the hillside at the tip of a peninsula on a pristine lake in the foothills of NC, the Owner’s of this existing home provided us with a unique challenge: “We want an addition placed at the highest elevation on our property to allow views not only of the lake to the south but also over the treeline to the mountain ridge beyond. Additionally, there is a strict height limit. And… the addition must be connected to the existing house through an enclosed and conditioned bridge over the existing driveway.”
