GUATEMALAN PARK BRICK CAMPAIGN
In Guatemala, parks are true hubs for the community. Business, leisure, and grand celebration are all conducted there. We are creating a Park space behind Little Guatemala designed to look and function like those parks! The park will have a beautiful paved area with a fountain, and many of these bricks will be engraved with the names of community members, supporters, and/or their loved ones.
The design for the Park will include an extension of the rear covered porch that will extend along the length of the building. The deck will terrace down to a brick plaza featuring a fountain reminiscent of the fountains found throughout Guatemalan cities. A large outdoor greenspace will serve numerous activities, including special events, sports, play, weddings, and open-air markets. Around the property's perimeter, a nature path will wind through the wooded site with various play areas for children and adults alike.
