Wildcat Spirit Park, a pedestrian-accessible memorial site near the former MHS school on College Street. The project is being funded by the Wildcat Fund to create a lasting tribute to Morganton High School and preserve its legacy.

The scope of work includes the planning and construction of Wildcat Spirit Park and the development of a self-perpetuating maintenance plan. The design and construction will be closely coordinated with the current property owners, the Alder Springs Deaf and Blind Community, and the City of Morganton.

This rendition of the memorial imagines the use of brick to recall the former main building of Morganton High School. A variation of the design is also conceived using natural stone from a local quarry.
